Upwey Psychology ~ Fee Increase from 1 January 2019

Medicare Rebate Indexation Freeze until 2018

Prior to 1 July 2014, Medicare Rebates were increased annually on the 1st of November to keep pace with rising costs for living. Medicare indexation freeze was announced in 2014 and will be in place until 2018. We are committed to providing excellent treatment services at Upwey Psychology for an affordable fee.

We have from the 1 January 2014 maintained a standard out of pocket fee. Our intention was to increase our fees annually, with the Medicare Rebate increase, so we would be able to maintain a standard out of pocket cost to you and at the same time manage the impact inflation has on our capacity to continue providing psychological support services in an ongoing and sustainable way.
