^Couple sessions are required in circumstances where more than one person attends the session. Claiming the Medicare Rebate for a Couple Session is possible where one person, in attendance, has a GP referral.

~ Family Therapy Sessions may be eligible to claim Health Fund or Medicare Rebate where one family member has a GP referral.

* Group Therapy Sessions are 1.5 to 2 hours in duration and involve 4 to 10 participants.

+ Hypnotherapy Sessions are a long treatment (4 hours in total) and comprised of two stages.

The first stage (usually 1 to 2 hours in total) is spent describing and examining the situation and circumstances that have led to considering Hypnotherapy.

The second stage (usually 2 to 3 hours in total) involves hypnosis and regression. This stage is not eligible to claim the Medicare Rebate but may be eligible to claim a Health Fund Rebate. The rate for these hours is indicated as the Hypnotherapy Fee.

If you have a GP referral, you may be able to claim the Medicare Rebate for up to two hours. The rate for these hours is the Standard Fee.
