On second glance, it’s hard but not all ‘bad’.
Many people in our community live with chronic pain that is often co occurring with a chronic health condition. Chronic pain can precipitate psychological states and symptoms such as depression, feeling of despair, withdrawing from social situations and eventually, isolation.

Chronic pain can also, paradoxically, allow unexpressed parts of ourselves to grow. It can help strengthen intuition, develop our sensitivity and empathy for others. It can help us see the value in small things like spending time with someone we love, deepen our understanding of others’ struggles and find the courage to stand up for injustice.
Living with chronic pain limits us in some ways but can also expand and develop us in ways that would not have happened otherwise.
